Keller Williams (KW), the world’s largest real estate franchise by agent count, announced record-breaking global growth with a 88.7% increase in sales volume outside of the U.S. and Canada, according to a press release.
The company says this amounted to $12.1 billion in sales volume outside of the two North American countries. It added that it now has 15,000 agents across 54 regions worldwide.
In addition to the increase in sales, KW also noted a number of other non-domestic production. These details include:
- As of December 31, agents closed 63.6 thousand transactions, up 57.8% over year end (YE) ’20.
- Agents closed $12.1 billion in sales volume, up 88.7% over YE ’20.
- Agents took 107.8 thousand new listings (new market inventory), up 17.6% over YE ’20.
- Agents wrote 74.6 thousand contracts (projected closings), up 46.6% over YE ’20.
- Contracts written volume was $10.9 billion, up 69.9% over YE ’20.
As KW continues to push its global expansion plans, it also announced awarding a new master franchise in Guyana. Led by Regional Operating Principal Stefan John, the organization plans to open its first market center in the country in the second quarter of 2022.
“We are thrilled to announce we’re in business with Stefan, a phenomenal leader who is poised to build and embody our culture in Guyana, our ninth master franchise in South America,” stated William E. Soteroff, president of Keller Williams Worldwide (KWW), in the release.
“Stefan and his core leadership understands our disruptive model and how it allows agents to thrive,” Soteroff stated. The release says that John previously founded D&J Group, a company focused on logistics and real estate services for the oil and gas industry.
“The real estate market is growing bigger than any other industry besides oil and gas in Guyana. KW will be the preferred agency that everyone goes to, mainly because the agents will be trained better than anyone else,” said John, adding that advanced technology will also play a strong role in KW’s expansion efforts.
“The technology is also positioned well ahead of the competitive set, and our marketing will be unmatched because of what KW offers to franchise holders,” he said.
Considering the strong global growth demonstrated by the organization, Keller Williams also plans to continue exploring opportunities across Africa, Central and South America, Central and Eastern Europe, and throughout Asia.
